For our EDtech presentation we decided to look for online technology that can help diverse learners in a classroom. Here are the technology we looked at and a short definition:
Jennie-Seeing AI: Seeing Ai is a app which can downloaded on a smartphone, this app can scan documents and then will read the text, this can help students with reading difficulties. This app can also describe the your surrounding if a photo is taken and will point things out such as cups, animals, peoples, etc.
Zac-Eye Gaze Technology: This technology tracks users eye movement while looking at a computer scree. This Allows students without the ability to write or use a computer a new form of independence within their lives and allows them to communicate in a new way.
Claire-Immersive Reader: This is a technology imbedded in word, PowerPoint, and other office platforms. Immersive Reader will use text-to-speech to read to users, it also offers many different technologies to help students struggling with reading.
Karis-Breath think do with sesame street: This is another app which can be downloaded on a smart phone and will help students through tasks they are struggling with. While there isn’t a wide range of tasks the app offers this app will help students calm down through interactive breathing exercises.
